Here I desire to create a place where we can discuss my recent hypothesis of the genes containing what was referred to as the “subconscious mind”. Along with this will also come the development of our analytical mind.
Let me start out by putting down some of my observations:
What is essential for the creation of a human form, or any other biological form from single celled to giant sequoia trees is DNA. We get half our DNA, along with genes from our paternal and the other half from maternal parent.
This is then what instigates the creation of millions of cells each second of our lives. It is responsible for creating things like the hippocampus which in turn creates the neurons for our brains. Blood cells, skin and all of it. This gives us our facial features as well as muscular structure and has information from generations going back to the time our ancestors were single celled organisms (or earlier).
The genes also, with the DNA contain the necessary information regarding nourishment to keep the cells alive. It contains information for the survival of the organism and while there is far too much to bother including it all here I want to relate an incident from my own life which may aid in understanding where I am coming from.
I was born in Norway shortly after the second world war. I never recall my parents saying anything negative about the Germans. In fact I recall my mother telling me that there was far more rape and theft by the allies in the few months after they liberated Norway from the Germans than by the Germans the years they were there.
In 1995 I was in Germany doing some work in East Germany for a Norwegian company and I was miserable. I felt scared of all people, as if they all had something against me. I could not understand it until I realized that must have been how my parents had felt during the occupation. After this I was fine. Now it seems to me that the information about the Germans came from the DNA of my parents, since both of them would have been apprehensive it seems the feelings would have been magnified.
Here was an instance of genetic survival, coupled with the mind understanding where it came from. The mind understanding alleviated the uncomfortable situation and allowed the uncomfortable emotions to subside. This explains the function of the mind and how it works in tandem with the reactions of the subconscious/genes.
So when our minds started evolving could well have been the first time an organism had to make a choice of fighting or fleeing. The mind itself is what we associate ourselves with even though many of its fears, apprehensions, compulsions etc are from the subconscious.
Another example of how these minds work in tandem is learning to drive a car. We spend hours learning, during our sleep the information from our short term memory becomes examined and stored in our genes. Should we after years of driving get in an accident all responses are instant, coming from the information of the subconscious. If we survive the mind examines the situation and may add new and better information to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
Making this as short as I feel possible a great amount of material is left out.
Advancing to the analytical mind and its composition let us use another example. Try and recall a classroom from early childhood. Do you recall the teacher? Can you visualize other students and picture where the children sat? Can you perceive the smells of the room? The sounds? Children laughing?
Now how large was the image of the classroom and children etc? How did you manage to disregard time and space?
So the mind does not exist in time, or space, it is not physical.
The brain is the implement employed in interpreting the physical universe. Sounds, sight etc.
Now remember quantum physics and the dual slit experiment; The result being dependent on the mind. Remember that when observed a wave becomes a particle!
So if the mind is independent of the physical universe, the mind could be likened to a wave and the DNA and Genes are particles, then who created what?
